Working on ,,tentatively called "coming soon to a theater near you '' Worked on Zs head from photo,not enough information.I will knock on her door and ask to stare at her lovely head in the same lighting set up.She will oblige as she always does and I will be grateful.
Spenc. returns to film our first artist /model confidential series. R wants to edit film for me and play with overlkapping. He is the overlapping Guru. D,R, and J came over critiqued you tube video"sylvia maier talks art"Need to improve fade outy and add close ups of painting series HIP HOP . I also ran into next subject for painting.....

Tuesdays work

So, my model, I will call B, arrived and I went to work on the cafe series,as I await more feedback from you, audience.I realized Ihad 2 conflicting lt sources and chose just one. The lt on the other 2 figures is coming from the right so I reworked B.s face . It had been awhile since I worked on this painting ,the card game, so I forgot where he posed. Finally got it and went into the paint.He could only work 2 hrs so it left me wanting more, quite anticlimactic. I must wait another week for him so in the mean while Ima (been listening to the black eyed peas "I ma be.."". gonna go too the cafe and have a cup of whatever and take photos. I need more info. in the bground and want to study the light. I hope it comes from the right, keeping fingers crossed. I will post todays work later today.
Cant get that NY song out of my head.... I love it.

My name is Sylvia Maier. I live in Brooklyn and I paint.

I want to start this blog in order to finish paintings. I've got three series of paintings I am working on. And I have to devote myself to finishing one.

You, dear reader, will decide which one to paint first. Will it be the "Prospect Park Drummer Series," the "Hip Hop Series," or the "Cafe Series"?

Then, you will follow the completion of the series you chose at any stage and phase. You will see images of my work in progress.

Its the first time, that a painter reveales the stages of her work through the Internet, the good, the bad and the ugly. I look forward to being with you in the paint.
